Family Start Core Service

At Family Start, our core service is dedicated to providing comprehensive support for families with young children. We focus on strengthening family relationships, promoting child development, and ensuring the well-being of both parents and children. Our team of experienced professionals offers personalised home visits, parenting advice, and practical assistance tailored to each family’s unique needs. By working together, we help families build a strong foundation for a brighter future. Reach out to Family Start and let us support you in creating a safe, nurturing environment for your children.

ACC Sensitive Claims

Family Start West Coast/Buller has an experienced team of clinicians that are accredited to provide assessments and therapy related to sexual trauma and sexual harm.

These services are available to any adult or child who has experienced sexual trauma in New Zealand at any point in their lives.

This support is fully funded by ACC and you can start whenever you are ready. There are also support services available for your family and whānau.

Youth Counselling

Family Start is starting a Youth Counselling Service. Currently this is in the beginning phases while we work out the best way to run this service for our local youth.

Curtain and Blanket Bank

Family Start runs a curtain and Blanket Bank where we donate curtains and blankets to those in need. We also accept donations of blankets and curtains.

Meth Intervention Services

We offer a Meth intervention service for those impacted by the effects of methamphetamine. We cover the West Coast and walk alongside those in recovery.
