Habitat for Humanity Southern Region
Description
Habitat for Humanity is dedicated to eliminating substandard housing and making homes habitable, ensuring they’re safe, warm and dry.
We’re a registered charity, raising funds through our ReStore network across the motu.
Habitat for Humanity Southern Region serves communities across West Coast, Canterbury, Otago, and Southland regions.
Habitat for Humanity’s Home Repair programme is an affordable, interest-free solution for homeowners needing support with critical repairs and maintenance. It’s about keeping homes warm, dry, healthy and safe.
If you own and occupy your home and need a hand up to get back on track with your home maintenance, Habitat’s Home Repair programme may be for you.
The Home Repair programme is supported by BNZ.
The Home Repair process:
1) Homeowners apply to Habitat, providing information about their home and income.
2) We complete an affordability assessment to ensure repayments won’t put households into financial strife.
3) Repairs are carried out using our tradespeople or trusted contractors.
4) Homeowners pay us back at no interest, over a period of up to five years.
