West Coast Historical and Mechanical Society Incorporated
Description
The objects of the Society shall be: (A) to establish, develop and from time to time extend at Rutherglen on the West Coast an historical and mechanical repository of items comprising real, personal, and mechanical property typifying the early history of the West Coast by display in a museum or in a replica of an historical gold mining town and particularly in the existing development now named and known as ‘Shantytown’. (B) to provide such forms of service and attractions for education and entertainment for visitors, tourists, and the public generally as the Executive Council shall from time to time decide upon. (C) to promote tourism or public interest and support by any means whatsoever in the development of the activities of the Society. (D) to accept as members of the society, persons interested in the objects thereof and who are eligible and acceptable as members on the terms herein after provided. (E) to enter into all such contracts or concessions with any person, company, corporation.
