Westport Kindergarten Assn thrives in the delivery of fit-for-purpose, teacher-led, quality education for generations to come.  We are a community run organisation, proudly governed by the New Zealand Kindergarten network giving them the ability to leverage expertise across the network to deliver programs and initiatives that enhance the value and sustainability of the Association.  Our Teachers are qualified and registered with the NZ Teachers Council and we pride ourselves on providing consistency within our teaching team to nurture relationships with tamariki (children) and whānau (family).  We also employ teachers who are training to become qualified teachers. These valuable team members support our children over and above the Ministry of Education ratio requirements while gaining on the job experience and are a valuable part of our team and ensure succession planning within our Association.

Our rooms are named to reflect the unfolding fern frond. These ages are a guideline, and movement throughout the rooms considers friend groups, group sizes, teacher-child relationships, and child needs.

We are open all year (excluding the Christmas/New Year Holiday break), from 8am-4.30pm and offer enrolment spaces for 0-6 years. Haere mai!
